2/14/2024 I liked the project "Can You Say Something?" I think using the inherent delay in technology as a deliberate part of performance is interesting. The performance itself seems kind of abstract. With the performer issuing general commands to participants, but I think its a neat way to comment on our attention spans and test how audience memebers are willing to particpate with a performer that's not physically present. It's something I could see be expanded into a larger performance. I think it would be interesting to perform a kind of turing test with the audience. Where maybe they think they're talking to a human performer, but it is slowly revealed that perhaps they are talking with an AI. Or using an element of uncertainty; the audience is uncertain to whther or not they are talking to someone human and physically present.

2/20/24 Ran & Kally Homework:

Seperate code for audience and performer. The audience triggers hearts when they make sound and after a certain amount of hearts a song is played by the performer.

The idea of this performance is to allow the audience and the performer to exist simultaneously, blurring the boundaries between the two to make the performance into a party. With prompt, we intend for the audience to sing first and become the performers. Because the audience can hear each other's voices, they will be influenced by each other, expressing their anticipation and enjoyment of the following performance. Then the performer will perform, allowing for performers and audience to party together.

2/27/24 One Minute Perfromance

Reading Homework: "They wanted to liberate choreography from psychology and conventional drama. "What is dance?" they asked. "If an elephant swings its trunk, is it dance? If a person walks across the stage, is that dance?" I liked this line of questioning because I think it's a line of thought that's application to the questioning of all different kinds of art forms and because it gives a better understanding of the ways that viewpoints can be used as an entry for work.
